Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
if it is leaking(jumpy idle), adjust it and glue it in place

Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
hopefully the pics work...........
Remove plate, don't loose the o-ring (7 mm heads) http://www.bettendorf.com/~mrbone/pi...Tech/FITV1.jpg Turn clock wise......... http://www.bettendorf.com/~mrbone/pi...Tech/FITV3.jpg If your good, you can do this without removing the TB from the car. Since running ES motor mount inserts I have to do this about once a year. |
Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
take that ---- off... fill holes with jb weld...sand smooth and your good to go ;)

Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
if i do that what is my cold idle going to be?

like ----

Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
i have tape covering the holes in the mani where the FITV goes, its fine after about 5min

Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
plugging it will work but expect super low/crap/---- idle before your engine warms up. the car is basicly NOT drivable before it warms up coz it would stall in any minute

Re: fast idle thermo valve fix?
That is a major issue here in Ohio.
Mid week it could 75-80, you could get by without the FITV........but then 30-35 on the weekend with snow.........you ain't going nowhere until car warms up! |
