anyone know where to purchase some or even possible to have some made? i dont have any access to a welder or no friends with one and id like to make the ride a bit smoother in the hatch with it also being lowered to look good. anyone?

Why not buy lowering spring? Anyway you don't want to be at 1 inch of the ground...

Even with a lowering spring without extending the upper mount you are compressing that shock farther than it was designed compramising drivability and life of the unit.

There was a thread a few months ago about this, there was a link to a forum where a member cut and added in a peice of pipe to extend the stock mounts about an inch. there are also some mods you can do to the shock itself.

extending the top hats is different than lowering the car, the spring is still in the same spot

exactly, and its nice having a dumped ride that looks good as hell. you ever see and old ef wit 99 si rims just dumped. ---- i could be sitting lower if i actually had ef springs/struts instead of the da ones i have on it now.

i see EVERYTHIGN dumped on Si's.... also, there will come a point you start cutting your tires on the inner fender sheet metal... obviously fenderliners getting tossed aside..

im actually planning on running HMT extended hats on the front of my CX for my next round of suspension upgrade along with some GC/Koni lovin....

yeah but theres just one kicker to my ride thats different from everyone else's in my area. everyone rocks the damn gsr blades. and all of the others have 17's or bigger rims. and they all ride around on stock suspension and spend $XXXX dollars on parts that give them 20 hp. i have yet to see a single si hatch or coupe in this town to date. just like when i got my hatch about 10 more popped up in town. but for some reason everyone wants my hatch, and as it stands i got an offer of 1g for mine out the blue. weird.....
