Exhaust valve seals for intake as well?

I heard some guys use exhaust valve seals for both their intake valve
seals and exhaust because they withstand higher temps. True or BS?
I'd like to know before I get my head rebuilt.

no they are not the same, the exhaust valve seals are smaller, the machine shop mines in backwards, intake in exhaust and exhaust in intake, and I was having smoke comming out my valve cover, switched them and the problem fixed

Re: Exhaust valve seals for intake as well?

its strange, I bought honda genuine seals, and they came with 2 different shades, plus on the intake seal it say in, and the exhaust ex. then I replaced them with KMS seals and they where also different types, and now I have a few set from felpro gasket sets and the felpro ones are all the same but its for a LS, maybe the b16 ones are the only ones that are different.
