Excessive coolant pressure!!!????

I got a turbo zc and last week i blew a head gasket. It was a stock headgasket and i looked at it and it looked as if the coolant blew through the gasket and that what caused my headgaset to go. I thought maybe the gasket was faulty. I bought a cometic gasket this weekend and without even boosting on it there is excessive pressure in the upper and lower coolant hoses. It seems like there is air just being built up no matter how much i bleed it. I know this can be caused by a leak from the combustion chamber into the collant system but when i pulled the head off after the first headgasket the sleeves were in good shape. The only other way that i can think of is that it is leaking through the headgasket. When i drive it though the car does not smoke at all its just builds up preesure in the collant system. Im gonna make sure nothing is blocking up my coolant system but i am positive nothing is blocking the coolant system.

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks
Pete

Make sure you're radiator cap is opening, those things go faulty all the time, past that...umm change the thermostat and flush guy a radiator flush kit and flush it out. ;)

2) how did u know u havd a bad gasket? (like what makes you think u have to pull the head?)

don't they always build pressure in ur coolant lines? thats why the radiator cap says don't take it off when the engines hot cuz it might shoot fluids in the air... squeeze the hoses thats how u can tell there's pressure lol

Re:Excessive coolant pressure!!!????

yea my rad cap is fine. I actually bought a new one. The sleeves are fine so the leak must be around the headgasket. Warpage,, maybe it could be anything. It doesnt really matter becasue this block and head have been through hell in the past 2 years. I have a spare zc head and block in my garage so i dont care to much. How do i know its too much preesure?? When i took out the stock gasket i inspected it and noticed that where the water jackets are there were holes going into the combustion chamber. This is caused by by too much coolant preesure, the coolant blew right through the gasket and into the combustion chamber. The only way there is that much preesure is if my ---- is clogged somewhere, a bad rad cap, or preesure is leaking out of the combustion chamber into the coolant system. I also put a funnel on my rad and filled it up half way. Usually it bubbles and it will suck down coolant, instead it bubbles up and no coolant is displaced it just stays there. My head or block its probably warped for some reason or another because i cannot figure anything else. I have headstuds and a nice gasket. it should be a good seal. I guess not.

Later, pete
