Default engine screaming

Well, i ended up blowin' my motor up, a mini-me swap. I only blew the head though(machined the cam into the journals)so i threw on the stock si head. Now for some strange reason, it sounds like a zc or a b16 above 3500 rpm. It also bucks all over the place, and doesn't wanna pull at all. Any ideas guys? I've gotten so disgusted with this car i'm ready to tow it away.

Did you plug everything in? What distributor are you using? How did you end up blowing the head? Sorry man, you came here with a question and I've got a bunch more for you

HAHA...it's ok trance. Well, the first 2 heads (z6's) blew up because the cams machined into the head. ******* locked right up and broke my timing gear right off. So then i decided since i was so pissed off, to throw the stock si head back on just to get it running again. So pretty much, it's just a higher compression si motor with a few bolt ons. And yes, everything's plugged in, no codes, no nuthin. Starts right up and purrs, but once u try and go past 3500 rpm, it starts making the "brrraaaaammmm" sound (like all zc's or d16a1's that i've heard)until about 5000. Once it hits 5k, it dogs out bad, sputters and gets even louder even though it won't pull any higher. BTW, oil pressure still sux too.

DING! DING! DING! I KNOW... you're in semi-Limp mode. My homeboy had this same problem with his 89 hatch because of a messed up obd1 conversion... check you wiring (mainly distributor/fuel injectors) and make sure your fuel rail/regulator/filter are in good condition. If that doesn't work, find a known working distributor and check your Cam & Distributor Timing!.. BTW... take that oil squarter out of the block and you won't go through heads so much...

I'm runnin a pg7 ecu right now. I have a pm6 that i'm gonna try today, but as far as the oil control jet goes, i did take it out when i rebuilt the motor for the mini-me. Now that the stock head is back on, i threw the jet back in, but the pressure still is the same as when the vtec head was on it. I checked over all the wiring, seems ok, but i'm gonna double check it in the daylight today .
I'll keep ya posted on what i find.

Yeah the PG7 ecu is out of an Integra. It does run a bit richer than the Si (Pm6) ecu...
