is it even worth it to paint the engine block seeing all the heat and ----?

i like to paint my blocks. preference thing but i have heard that black dissapates heat better,no clue if its true or not.

eh i think im going to wrinkle coat the ls valve cover, red 1200degree heat paint on the block and gun metal on the tranny :) call me a ricer but i think it'll look fuckn sick. O0

That's not a bad idea man. I think it'd look sick. What's wrong with having your stuff look as well as it performs? 8)

ya i painted it black today so ill go with that til i blow this one up. just gonna get the valve cover sandblasted and wrinkle paint it black and the tranny gun metal.

i'm painting my car this weekend so i painted the valve cover silver but i put a coat of a blue pearl on the "honda", looks pretty bad ass when the sun hits it just right.

on my z6 turbo i had the valve cover powered coated at finishline by firestone, it was a metallic grey when the sun hit it, it kinda sparkeled it was sick as ----. still have it to just no reason i dont even have a sohc anymore.

yeah finish line does good work and there not very expensive either.

ya i was thinking about cromeing it out, then i was gonna get the valve cover cherry swirl red pearl, and then get out my recipro saw and cut a rectangle in the hood so everyone could see it.

is there a specific paint u use?? cuz i seen this stuff at auto zone its like 1200 degree ceramic base coat or suttin...just wondering wut u guys would suggest...
