Engine Mounts
Whats the easiest and best way to check if your engine monunts are good? I'm getting a small amount of movement of the gear shifter, but that is all, no knocking noises at all, I just want to make sure that they are good to go.

Re: Engine Mounts
Visually inspect them. Is this a 5 speed? Put your ebrake on and engage the clutch slightly in first gear while someone watches for excessive engine movement.
Check your shifter bushings. A urethane shift stabilizer kit is a good idea on any car as well, they are super cheap on ebay. |

Re: Engine Mounts
put some prothane inserts in, if you daily drive the car you will hate life, but you will love the response you get from the car.
I have the prothane bushings in all my mounts, and avid aluminum torque mounts. interior vibrates a lot, but no engine movement. |
Re: Engine Mounts
get poly inserts and window weld them in
