My tack goes crazy while im driving, from 1000 to 5000 and just all over the place. My motor is starting to miss fire so I know somthing in my distributor is going out. ( probably the coil. Should I just get a msd cap rotor and coil and call it good. Go buy a new coil from honda. Or get an new dizzy from exenocron. My setup is LS vtec in and 92 EG. Thanks

i had an engine missing once....found it hiding in the corner of my garage...

is it throwing any codes? any metal shavings or ---- like that under the cap?

 

Don't bother wasting the money on a MSD external coil setup, they're junk. Had one on my hatch for 6 months or so and started hesitating and misfiring at part throttle. Changed back to the stock cap and coil setup and problem solved.

 

external coils are a blast driving in the rain. Studder pop crap pop my pants car broke again.

i would take a good look at the distributor. see if it has any play in the shaft/bearing...

no CEL on?....stupid question but...is there a bulb in it? when you put the key to ON does it go on then off?
