engine bearings
 
any one out there rebuild an engine and reused the bearings have any trouble with the engine and how long did it live

buy new ones cuz thats what rebuilding means

u dont wanna be opening ur engine every year now do u?

If you didn't have a problem with the old ones you can reuse them. Just make sure they all go back in the places they were, and maybe scrub them a little with some scotchbrite.

If you are bothering to do it, DO IT RIGHT. Spend a few more bucks and get new bearings.

dave this is hmt, throw some napa rings in it and reuse the bearings....be mcguyver 8)

---- the rings are still good i'm just swapin the crank in it so it might get... interesting so i'll take lots of pics for yall guys

If you are swapping the crank DEFINATELY use new bearings. You would only use the old ones that would mate up with the wear on the old crank.

any body know if the bearing code system honda uses is the same on a 92 dx and a 90 dx
