Eg brake swap

Default Eg brake swap

I wonder if you guys know if a 91 crx (siR) brakes (calipers and rotors) bolts on a 92 eg4. Yeah i need to do this cause emd eg4 came with tiny 240 mm front rotors.... sirīs are 260.

Ther is alot of stuff on brake setups on there. I would think you could becuase some guys have used 2gen Teg brakes on eg knuckles.

I would say if your gonna go for the effort use 94 or so Accord wagon Calipers and 93 Vtec Prelude Rotors redrilled to your pattern. This gives you even bigger then the siR setup and from what I have read is it is a direct bolt on to you knuckles. The Hybrid Honda page has A BIG info page on that setup.

They will bolt up..
You need to change the whole caliper and the bracket thing holding it. THe rotor's will fit just fine

I swaped the 9 inch brakes to 10 inch, 93 civic small to integra or bigger civic (some came with the 10.2"ish) I needed to swap the spindles/knuckels, the caliper mounting points were different.
