Re:EG axles vs EF axles

Re:EG axles vs EF axles
Jeff I think there different cause I tried using an a brand new EF sohc axle I had laying around in my y8 tranny and couldn't get that ---- to work. Don't remember why it would work but maybe I'm just retarded. Hmmm that could be the reason though :P For some reason I though I think it was the male part of the axle that goes into the knuckle was shorter on the EF one? Like I said I could just be retarded too!

Re:EG axles vs EF axles
But the EG and EK axles are interchangable, right? ???
|
Re:EG axles vs EF axles
I would think that they are the same because the placement of the tranny is the same in relation to the hubs. I say just do it and see twhat happens. ;)

Re:EG axles vs EF axles
I think the axle itself is the same lenght, but the thingy at the end of the axle is different...

Re:EG axles vs EF axles
The axles are different. However I am currently using an axle from an eg on my ef. The eg axles have a longer on the part that goes through the hub. I only am using it for a temp fix. It works if need be but I would recomend getting the right one.
