ef auto to manual is cake compared to tegs. all you need is the trans the ecu, the pedal set, shift linkage.

the rear mount needs to be moved over from the auto to the manual spot. (its the mounting position opposite to the auto spot, get a angle adapter to get those bolts out they are a bitch) the shift linkage can be mounted up where the rear position of the auto shifter was just use some home depot bolts/washers/nuts.

I did one of these to my hatch...kinda sucks to do especially since i didn't find out about the back mount until after the motor was in ::) The bracket that your shifter mounts to won't line up with any of the holes in the tunnel there, so plan on drilling new ones. Also for some odd reason, after i got my shifter linkage up and mounted, the exhaust would hit the linkage, so i had to cut and re-weld the exhaust at a slight angle to clear. Another thing too is in the auto shifter mechanism is a few wires that have to be spliced and cut. One set is to allow the car to start (kinda like a clutch switch) and the other set is for reverse lights. Your best bet is to get a test meter and probe the wires to find out which one is which before you completely yank the assembly out of the car. Hit me up if ya got any more questions about it.

From the way it sounds.. too hard for you. save up the $$$.$$ and buy a 5spd to begin with, the pain and suffering isn't worth the time. Or you can save up the $ and pay us $2000.00 to do it. That includes your freight charges as well from J-A-J ;)

thats not nice now, seriously everyone has to start somewheres right ? its a good learning experience and to know that you put that effort in your car pays off well in the end yanno ? i know you know what im talking about if you do all your own shiz. :) just my perspective on this.
