ecu trouble

Default ecu trouble

i chipped my ecu...when i start the car it runs like ---- and there is a check engine light on...when i remove the connection @ j1 the check engine light doesnt come on

Yeah, I would go over all the solderjoints and make sure you're getting good connections. be carefull when installing IC's if you leave the heat on 1 pin too long it can destroy the chip. Its a good idea to alternate when soldering those ic's in like solder 1 pin, skip 1, and then go around and solder the ones you skipped.

yah like jago said...you probably fuked it up. Must be some cold solder joints or traces getting burned out. Recheck everything and every solder point to see if you fried some trace there.

Could just be an issue with the eeprom. Put a stock map on there to double check that it is not a hardware issue.
