ECU code 9
Hey, I just finished doing my dpfi to mpfi swap. I soldered and then use heat shrink in all my connections, took me a couple of days, took it slow to make sure everything was going to the right place. After I'm done the car turned on, great, but I'm getting a code 9, 9 flashes, I found on a website it's "No. 1 cylinder position". What can cause this?
I'm thinking of resetting the ecu and trying again to see if I get the same code. By the way, it's and 88 dx hatch, with a 95 SOHC Vtec ZC, and I'm using parts from a 90 Si, distributor, and ECU, and 88 Si Intake Manifold and Resistor Box. Thanks for any info. David |

Re:ECU code 9
Of the 3 swap write ups I found on the web, only one said to use a shielded cable for the cylinder position sensor and to ground those cables which I did not do, could that be the problem?
Thanks Otherwise the car runs ok? |
Re:ECU code 9
After I used a Shielded cable and grounded the shield I got rid of the CEL and code 9, So if you are planning on doing this use a shielded cable. That's it it was really easy to do.
