DX or Si Tranny???
Maybe someone can help me... how can i tell the difference between the 91 crx dx tranny or si tranny by just lookin at them. I know the diff. between them, the final drive. But how can i tell by just lookin?? They are both L3 but the dx is L3(mlb4) or some ---- like that!? Let me know... thanx!!

The only thing is my tranny has a different number than the one that site. That site is for EF's. The codes must be different.

OK i did some searching and found out that the Si tranny has PL3000 stamped on it and the DX has PLA000. It said it was next to the fill plug!? Where can i find the fill plug and how can i see it from the tranny being on the car

thank god for this web site. i just bought a d16a6 and tranny. as soon as i read this topic i drove three towns over and checked to make sure i have the right tranny. and i do, thank you HMT i dont know what i would do with out you!

I was still not convinced that the tranny I had was actually a DX tranny with shitty gears, so I looked around for Mista Bone and found a post where he confirmed my unwanted suspicions.
