im a noob with the tranny side of things. i am swapping in a different tranny but am not touching the clutch. just pulling one tranny and slapping the other on. do i replace a bearing? if so the throwout or release bearing

 

there is only one bearing there if you do not remove the clutch
its called throwout bearing and sometimes release bearing
same difference
its on the shaft you cant miss it

The other bearing is on the fywheel itself but you dont touch that.

 

I always replace the throwut bearing. Worth the 25 bucks and not havin to drop the trans again
