Okay, I heard that one of the bad things about using blockguards is that when the block heats up, it expands and the blockguard might "float around". But what if you used some block posts in order to keep the blockguard from floating further down, would that work?

block guards are supposed to be welded in, thats one mistake most people make.

i would think trying to give posting a double purpose such as holding cylinder walls and also holding the position of your block guard would be a bad idea.

Plus if you're gonna post it, just throw the blockguard away.
