dual stage intake wire?
which wire is the dual stage intake (IAB) on the obd2 integra gsr? I'm trying to install a light on a gsr for when the dual stage kicks in and I can't find the right wire, the ones I've found in the manual were both hot when the key was on. does the dual stage work by gounding?
I looked at the IM and I don't really see any wires on it, but there is a vacuum activated thing that turns the butterflies. I'll have the guy look at the source of that vacuum and see if he can find any wires. Has anybody done an obd2 gsr swap?
The way this works on (Accords/Preludes anyway.. I'm sure its the same on Teg) is there is a vacuum solenoid on the firewall (about right in the middle). When it comes time for IAB the ecu hits the solenoid with ground or +12 (i forget which now, but im leaning towards ground) and allows vacuum from the IM -> operate the vacuum actuator. I don't think I'd bother with a light on it.. its pretty darn obvious when they're on (intake noise).
alright, I'll trace that vacuum and activate the led on ground. I know it's pretty obvious, but this guy wants a light so he can be like me with my vtec light, so he gets one. on the gsr you can't even hear vtec hit, so the light is necessary to know you have something there.
so many haters out there. I wish my name had "teg" in it and I drove a civic, then I would be cool. Some people just like to have lights and switches and gauges in their car, this guy is starting out with lights and moving on from there.
