Default Dsm resistor box problem....maybe.

Would no having the resistor box on DSM 450's cause the car (89 crx SI) to run rich no matter what? I didn't wire these into the car, the person that started this did, I am not seeing anything that would look to me like a resistor box, I'm assuming that it would be somewhere near the fuel rail, but I see nothing, what exactly does the resistor box look like (just so I know I'm looking for the right thing)?

The car is running TurboEDIT with a basemap from xenocron, I leaned it out by 5% and the A/F didn't change at all.
