Driveability problems
ever since one hard highway pull yesterday my car has been driving like ---- (highway pull of 90-130km/h in 4th)
now i'll be driving and the car will feel like its absolutly lost all power, gas to teh floor and doesnt move, all of a sudden it feels like someone dumped teh clutch and throws your head back and starts accelerating like normal I automatically thought fuel filter or clogged MAP sensor... went home changed the fuel filter and cleraned out the MAP and hose going to the MAP problem still exists worse than ever... and now it feels like all the time has a bit less power all the time Please make an E-diagnosis for me! I really need the car to work right again, the 90km highway return trip to work is killing me like this PS: the car is a 92 civic sedan, 5 speed, OBD1, d15b7 head, d15b2 bottom end..... only thing done to it is a filter on teh end of the stock intake tube |

Re: Driveability problems
I'd say we need more info. All I got was....
You took the car out, floored it in fourth from 90-130, and now the car runs like ----. Why do you think its a clogged filter or map? Are there any check engine lights? Do you hear any weird knocks, taps, rattles, valves? Are there any liquids leaking? Hows the compression? Hows the timing? Did anything feel funny while you try the 90-130? Weird bogs? Let us know. E-diagnostics need detailed info. :y GL |
Re: Driveability problems
when the gas is on the floor, are the rpms up? or the engine is hanging on for life?

Re: Driveability problems
engine hanging on for life
clutch is deffinitally not slipping, i broke an axle the other night and if the clutch was bad it would of slipped before the axle broke okay, so i'll be driving.... all of a sudden teh car looses power... I put teh gas to teh floor and nothing happens and the car is clearly not working right cause it starts slowing down quickly (like letting off the gas and using vaccuum braking) and then when the engine decides to start working again it comes on hard... it almost feels like you were driving and you put the clutch in and dumped it... thats how hard it jerks the car when the power comes back on |
Re: Driveability problems
