DPFI Engine harness differences?
 

I have heard in the past that there is a difference between 88-89 and 90-91 DPFI engine harness'. Can anybody confirm or bust this myth? I can't see why they would be any different but I want to make sure before I go looking for a spare.

I have used both and there was no difference.Im a Canadian so maybe are Civics are diff but I really dought it.

I really doubted that from the minute I heard it, but ya know, once you hear something like that, it kinda sticks in your head. My hatch was mfg. in Canada by the way. Guess I will start looking for a spare DPFI harness.

I will look in the shop tommorow and see if I have one complete.I had a few but at least two have had plugs cut off.I dont know if there is truth to that rumor or not but I cant see why they would change a harness and nothing else year to year as it would just add to manufacturing costs.That being said I could see possibly a 88 harness or early 88 production being slightly different as that year did have a few little differences like the control arms in the rear etc.

I dont have anything good here.All my harnesses have had plugs cut off etc from them.

there is a slight difference in the MPFI, I think the 88 was the oddball and the 89-91 were the same. I don't remember if the 88-89 were the same or not. So I dunno if that applies to DPFI, since I have almost no experience with them aside from the ONE DPFI civic I owned a while back. The difference was like the shape of a plug.

Haha, thanks Murdizzle, at least somebody else knows/has heard that there is a difference. I am just going to go with the flow, get the other dpfi harness and maybe compare it real good before I go and modify it.
