DOHC ZC Timing Belt Cover

What timing belt cover (top and bottom) do I use for a DOHC ZC?

This is just a guess, but I would say you would use one from a 88-89 Integra. ???

Nope, that one wont fit.

Then I would say you would need one from an actual ZC. :-\ I don't even use them. The bottom one sucks when it comes time to change the timing belt and the top one sucks when you want to change the cam gear settings.

Re:DOHC ZC Timing Belt Cover

Well heres the thing, when I bought the car I drove it maybe 50 miles, and found the timing belt to be cut. Then I replaced it, and drove the car another 25 miles? And the belt had a hole in it. Now when I got into it today to fix it, I found a small bolt that I used to attach the ground in the lower belt cover. ::) Now that one was my fault, but I know the bolt wasnt there for the prior messed up belt. The previous owner of the car had cut the cover down damn near to the crank pulley. So I guess what Im getting at is do you think I even need the cover? Im just getting tired of changing a belt every 25 miles.

Re:DOHC ZC Timing Belt Cover

---- that cover. I didn't rock one on my old car and when the time comes to change my timing belt my new one is coming off with a dremel. I don't get along with the crank pulley so I try to stay away. I like to throw tools when I'm pissed. :-[

The only shitty part is the timing mark, but you can easily fabricate something or go off a different point for reference.

Uhm, I sure as hell wouldnt run a car without a timing belt cover, something falls in there, small rock, anything your looking at bent valves. If your to lazy to put on 5 10mm bolts you guys need to find a new hobby.

::)

Re:DOHC ZC Timing Belt Cover

I've never had a problem with not running ANY timing belt cover(top or bottom). If I ever run into a problem I'll gladly come running to your feet asking for your forgiveness, but until then, and to continue with the rolly eyes theme...........--->>>>>> ::)
