dohc zc need some help

ok i should be getting an obd0 zc motor out of a crx.........and i have all of the parts from my z6......is this swap even possible with little work?....ive looked up ---- for a while now and i cant find anything that tells me directly if its possible or not.........well it would be cool if you guys could let me know what parts i should use off of my z6 and what i should do about the obd conversion......and also i guess the d series parts bolt right up (most of them) becuase its the same bolt pattern....what parts should i put on the zc from my z6 to make a little more power?.....sorry abou this honda-tech question..thanks for your replys

you will need to do some work on the exhaust manifold/turbo manifold to get the ports to line up right. you will need to use the obd1 intake manifold, convert the dizzy to obd1, umm, using your stock harness you will probably have to extend some of the wires, but im not positive on that part. everything else should be straight forward.

Re: dohc zc need some help

what about just using the stock zc header?......no o2 im guessing......hmm i wonder wat needs to be modified on the exhaust mani..........well i know i asked this already but does anyone know what parts i could change to make the most power and does the zc have weak cylinder walls or would be ok to boost it the way it is?

Re: dohc zc need some help

if you arent boosting use the stock zc manifold, as for the dizzy you just need to splice an obd1 dizzy connector on it, and the dohc zc is no weaker than any other D series honda engine, if that helps. what do you mean by swapping parts to make it faster??? all bolt ons will work from the z6 to the zc, internals would drop compression ALOT, so you dont wanna do that.

uhm. no.

obd-0 dist internals are not compatible w/ obd1. (teeth on the sensors are diff).

if you are already obd1, then you need to find a DOHC ZC OBD1 dist.

ok well what i mean by make it faster was just kinda like mismatching parts that were better from the z6 and putting it on the zc........not really faster just better i guess...i wonder how hard parts are to find for the zc motor...

Re: dohc zc need some help

they arent hard to find, you just have to know what oem motor to get most parts from... there are a few zc only forums that will help alot. alot of the parts from the B20a are used, timing belt etc... but i dont know all of them......

What parts do you need to know about exactly?

H22 OBD1 Dizzy is Cheaper and Easier to find and works fine.
