How does this sensor work? Should it be hitting the contactors? When it registers should it make a continuous connection or should it be a short "blip". Does that make sense? It doesn't make a contiuous connection, it just beeps. The contactors are all chewed up though.

In this first picture both contactors are hitting each other. Is that how it's supposed to work?


These other pictures sucks, but you can see the material that has rubbed off the contactors.

its not suppose to touch, just get realy close. if its touching you might need a new one.

this is another reason why used cars can be gay

 

if you feel that is the problem I have about 3 of those sensors in my garage.

 

Definitly should not touch it generates a a/c voltage(waveform)
