DOHC ZC
Yo i was in a local junkyard and there were about 4 DOHC ZC's i am thinking of swappin one of those in. i looked up on hybrid honda and it says it will bolt right up and drop in easily all that will have to be done is wiring. i think it said only dpfi to mpfi swap was needed. now should i grab the manual trannys that are with them or just bolt up my si tranny i have sitting at hiome. just looking for some input

Re: DOHC ZC
....and your car is a...???????? ???
Are the ZC's OBD0 or OBD1? Are the trannies true ZC trannies? Do they come with the axle extension? Are they black top JDM ZC's? What car do you drive? :P __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
Re: DOHC ZC
Are these true JDM DOHC ZC engines (not d16a1 from 88-89 teg)? If so, I'd grab the tranny with it as well as the axles if they're in good shape. The Si tranny will work but your axles won't be equal length like they are with the ZC tranny.

Re: DOHC ZC
i drive a 1990 crx dx, they are out or usdm integras 86-89.

Re: DOHC ZC
They are just d16a1's like purecrxtasy is refering to. I believe they only have 115 hp. If you did an mpfi swap on your dx you would have around 105 hp. Is it worth swapping a motor for 10 hp?

Re: DOHC ZC
Unless they swapped in a ZC, those are d16a1 engines. They're similar, but the mounts are different and are not a direct drop like the JDM ZC is.

Re: DOHC ZC
ok so i have the lil d15b2 and then with a mpfi swap the hp should jump up to about 105 what about cam should i do anything with that or just go with a new cylinder head ex. z6 or y8. lemme know cause i jut got a turbo from the junkyard.
