Dizzy Retard Question
This might sound stupid. If you are standing at the passenger side fender looking directly at the distributor, which way clockwise or counter clockwise would you turn it to retard the timing? This is a D16A6. Thanks

Re:Dizzy Retard Question
a lot dude. haha u dont want to do that. if u want stock id say put it a lil past the middle. meaning the top bolt be aligned in its socket. its kinda hard to explain. i hope that helps. moving it a lil bit changes it a lot. i say align it in the middle and u should be okay. better yet if u got a time gun use it

Re:Dizzy Retard Question
i heard a rumor that one mm. equals one degree, but you don't want to over retard it if you don't have to, so just retard it a hair, then drive and see how it is, if you feel like it needs more, then do it a hair more and drive it to seek, etc. etc., but yeah, turn it toward the front of the car to retard it, and before you move it at all, engrave or mark a line on the dizzy and bracket so that you know where the stock setting is at if you need to set it back to stock.

Re:Dizzy Retard Question
the three marks that are rather close to each other represent a number. the first one on the right is 14 deg then the middle is 16 and the last is 18 degree's. well thats how i do it. always turns out to be okay
