well i took the old trusty db8 for a drive few days ago before i was going to boost her and something just didn't feel right and what do you know something was really wrong so i checked compression and it wasn't good at all considering i just built the motor 500 miles ago the readings from the check were 110 120 85 85 ??? so i was like whoah holy ---- checked oil looked good no knocking wtf headgasket was good no oil in the water so being stumped the motor came out again and what do you know when i put the pistons in my dang rings weren't the right size had .017 of gap when it should be .0018 on a new built motor with new rings as mine had so i was like wtf the company sent me the wrong ones :S what a head ache so heres a few pics of the tear down rebuild should begin soon >:D ls-t on 12lbs here i come

day 1 got the head off as well as the radiator and front end (all b series ac stuff forsale no pics atm but pm me for pics if u want some)

Re: db8 build

looking good so far. I like the way wire tucks look when finished, but they look like way to much work for me to ever care to do so myself. Why is your crank fucked?

Re: db8 build

well its a long story but when the motor blew the first time i just had it turned and they messed it up so they had to weld it back up and turn it again and it just is all out of round and like .75 over on the mains and .40 over on the rods i mean u cant boost on that so im kinda screwed there

i havent made an update on my build thread in awhile i was waiting to be out of school and get some bills taken care of before going all out i had enough of just buying a part here andf there so this is a big update cant wait to start assembely and begin :6

recently purchased parts
Cp 9:1 pistons
Probe rods
Hondata s200 with boost options
Turbo timer
Dsm injectors
Short block (for the crank ill sleeve it later on)
fuel line tuck material
wire tuck material
thats about all for newely added parts but i figured i would go ahead and add up how much money i have spent so far should get interesting

Radiator 98
Fmic 120
Turbo 50
Rods 268
Pistons 576
Shortblock 100
Injectors 50
Fuel line tuck material 133
Wire tuck material 46
Suspension 268
Turbo timer 66
Fuel rail 90
Hondata 300
manifold 190
Total 2355

doesnt seem like much but crazy to think your motor has 2 grand in it and no work to the head all bottom end kinda scary still have alot to go probably another grand or so here are some pics

fuel line stuff filter and few other fittings are on back order
