dash lights and parking lights dont work, but blinkers and brake lights do. CRX

basicly my dash lights went out, then i found out that its on the same fuze as my tail lights, license plate lights, and my corner lights. yet the blinkers and brake lights all work still.. which would mean that theres no short in those i would imagine.. although i dont know any ways of testing to see if the dash lights themselves are out or not. if anyones had this problem before, and know if its a switch or something that would be awsome. kind of a complex thing to search for so im sorry if theres already a post about this topic. thanks

It just happened to me, gut your interior and look for a short. Dash/tail/side markers/license plates are on one circuit and blinkers/hazards/brakes are on another. I just ended up gutting most of the interior, finding nothing visible and ran new wires that i fused instead of running through the fuse box.

i found the problem, looks like there was an extra wire from when someone took out the stock stereo, meant for the lighting of the stock stereo. that positive lead was bare and touching the chasis. just got a ground fault relay and spliced some wires and figure out which side of the splice it was on. the wire was red with a black stripe and silver dots on it incase anyone else is wondering. its also the power lead for the front running lights (not the blinkers or headlights) just thought id post up an help out anyone else who might have that problem.
