Default DART or EAGLE

after my success with my first HMT project i decided i want more power. i`m trying to decide which block i should go with either the DART engine i think its a 2grand engine or send my engine block to Eagle to get it sleeved. Because i will be messing with a bigger turbo. it would be street legal drag even though i have a daily driver but its NA is boring now What do you guys think ?

sleeving will cost 1000+ im sure. So might be the same cost for a dart engine. (Although i've never heard of a dart engine). Make some phone calls and get some prices. If money means jack to you then get another engine so u can have the back up one.

they sell bare blocks, they are a closed deck design and from what i hear, they can handle just about all the power you can throw at them. if you can afford the dart block, GET IT.

I would say DART. I have HEARD way too many horror stories about GE sleeves sinking. One guy had two sets sink on him and went through a nasty rebuild process and lost a lot of money. Now he runs DART sleeves.

would the closed deck design of the dart engine cause water gauge temps to go up, or would the higher temps be just around the top of the cylinders? and wouldn't that added heat up top lead to more detonation?

not if he is only racing full throttle for however long it takes him to get down the track... dragsters are only made to run down the track
