Holy crap shoot! It is DEFINATELY coolant, and there is a mass flow near the rear of the car from where a muffler was shotty welded to the exhaust. I started the car with the rad and res full, now after running it for about 10 minutes the res is EMPTY. It is 100% coolant. I am amazed that the car can loose coolant this fast!

Little Help?

IDK about coolant from the tailpipe, but I would say keep filling it till it doesn't lose any more.

Or check the compression.

i`ve seen problmes like that.
ppl mixed up coolent /vacume hoses
since YOU did all the hoses, u are not going to find any problem.
have SOMEONE ELSE recheck all the hoses for u.
OR ...it could be the intake manifold gasket is fucked and leaking coolent into the 4st cylinder.
OR ... it could be cracked sleevs but then ur car shouldn`t run.
should be the hoses.

oh oh,,,i`ve seen cracked cylinder head caused the same problem.

I think I will start with the hoses to make sure they weren't confused. Then do a compression check. Then pending that rip the damn head off and the intake.

Thanks

I'm not saying I'm a certified tech or anything, but if it I confused the hoses I'm gonna feel like a horses' ***

Where to start... I took out the plugs to do a compression check, a couple looked rich, not a big deal.

I hook up the gauge and on the first crank a huge BURP of coolant SHOOTS up from cylinder 3 or maybe a combo of em!

Now this is a problem, but also i took off the oil cap and fished around inside with a light, where you should only see nice new oil, there is a thick kind of milky with a brownish tint goop.

Looks like things are really starting to get interesting!

Ideas?
