anyone know this engine. I saw it on a local yard. says d18b. the block looks longer. any idea

 

what car was it on? year? model? ive never heard of that.

 

Okay r u postive it didnt say B18b Cause ive never heard of a d18b i did a search and the only thing that came up under d18b was a pic of a b18b ,which means it was a misprint.

Unless its not a honda motor?Was it a complete motor??more info needed

 

Yup, Im sure its a d18b. Im not sure what car its on. It has a marking on the engine block d18b with a sohc head and carb. The plate says its from a EG8. I know the b18b came from the old integra.

i searched forever and that website seems to list every honda ever made. maybe its a d13b and it looks like an 8? good luck.

D17 was the largest D series, you must of read it wrong.

Especially if it was a USDM car.

Its a jdm body. Say eg8. I dont really care about the carb.
I want the block. I just dont know if the d16 will fit.

 

I reackon its the d13b as its carbed and the 3 could have been tamperd with and made a 8 .Now wtf would u want to put a pissy 1.3 block in your carNow eg8 over here means a eg hatchback.If u didnt no.

 

I know its a eg hatchback or the 4 door version. I dont want to put the 1.3 block. The block looks a lot longer than a d16. Ill try to get pics.
