D17A2 Broken...
Hello people,
i bought a 2002 civic with D17A2 engine (broken).
The problem is here in my local area i can't find the same angine, but have a lot of D15B's that i can buy
at low price.
Can i use the D15B block with the D17A2 head?

The con rod broke in half and broken all the block and other things.
if was easy to buy engines from USA to Mozambique, i would be on my car a long time.
Is not easy to ship to Mozambique from there, a lot off money.
But anyway to use other d series to this head??

Yeah you can use the D17 head on a D15 blocks as long as you use the D17a2, D16y8, or D16z6 head gasket if you want to retain v-tech. If you use a non-Vtech block you will need to pull the oil restrictor out of the block. There is a write-up on this in D-series, H-T, Hondaswap, etc. forumns on this vtech head swap.

Yes to all except you may have to use the sensors off the D17 for water temp, fan switch, and some others just compare the sensor plugs. But I believe there is a crank sensor on the d17 so you are using the wire harness and ecu that went with d17 you may have modify for crank sensor but not sure on that part.
