D16z6 into 4th gen
Is wirring a d16z6 into a 4th gen civic the same as doing a b16 (at the ECU) ? And as far as a ECU could I use my PR3 from the b16 and put a chip in it that has a P28 program. As of right now my engien bay looks pretty getto vtec isnt even hooked up, and I had to cut my distributor to fit 2 bolts.

haha...sounds ghetto but thats what saving moneys all about. but yes...i've actually put a b16 ecu into those 4th gen std with a z6 and it ran. it was running rich but it ran. you have to hook up a knock sensor but thats easy....the only problem was the dist. you had to hook it up funny to run but it'll run.

Stealth the link didnt work but thanks for the effort. ;) Im kinda thinking about just converting to obd-1but its a lot of money just to have a d-series in my car. I only paid $150 for the Z6 and its a very stong motor so it might be worth still doing the obd-1.
Thanks steve |
Re:D16z6 into 4th gen
and with obd1 you're setup for easy bseries swaps, b16a3 (delsol), b18b, b18c1.
