D16z6 head on a dohc zc block?
Is it possible to bolt my z6 head onto my dohc zc block? I know the head bolts right onto the block but not sure if the pistons would clear the head cause they are higher in the middle than the z6 pistons. I've been doing some reading and people have been saying the sohc heads won't interchange witht the dohc zc blocks and vise versa. Can any confirm this.

One head bolt is also slightly off and would need to be filled, drilled, and retapped. So not worth it for a d-series...just pick up a cheap d16 bottom and swap the pistons from your zc into it if you want way too high c/r

Yeah I think you guys are right. One of the studs didn't line up. What if I put the zc pistons and rods into a z6 block? The valves in the dohc head seem further apart under the head. Anyone ever used dohc z pistons with a z6 head? Will it also give me higher compression too?
