Re: D16Z6 in a CRX Si, verification and questions

should i use the A6 intake or the Z6?

i assume the Z6 has sensors that i need with the P28

going obd1 will require you to convert to a 4-wire o2 sensor too.

which u may need to buy.

Map sensor from the EF (CRX) is on the firewall, the z6 intake manifold has it's own, on top of the throttle body

and i believe you take the driver side mount bracket of the a6 and put it on the z6 while still using the crx mount

run the Z6 manifold AND injectors........

You'll need to extend some wiring.........

MAP Sensor
Fan Switch

IACV should work, might have to change the plug though.

no.. you WILL need to use the a6 tranny as the 88-91 chassis' use cable actuated clutches. z6 = hydraulic.

All 2 wire IACV use the same plug, Bone - no worries there.

Converting ED chassis to hydro tranny is not impossible - approx 3 hours work. To get 96+ steel shift fork gearbox - as well as the fact those gearboxes are miles + years fresher for about the same price - makes it seem like a worthwhile effort.
