i have stock 94 civic dx d15b7 5spd with 165k on it. it runs strong, no ps, no ac. i got it turbo ready . and have the turbo setup for it. and now when i'm about to put everything in, my friend offers me his d16y8 with 15k on it ( everything, suspention, tranny, engine, the whole front end) for FREE , because he converted his 99ex to 99si and that ex motor just takes space. so the q. is, is it worth to put that in my car to turbo it in the next month or so? is that engine stronger then my d15? i know it will bolt right in, but what about the wires? sensors? ecu? what i need to get ? i searched for a couple days on here, but still didnt find the answer. or should i just swap the si brakes in to my dx, and leave the engine along? si brakes are bigger right? and as far as i know they bollt right in?

please help me with my q. !!!!

turbo the dx first. With the shitty oil pumps on the y8's you might thank yourself later.

 

how about the internals will the dx hold more power? and how about suspention q? thank you for the answer!

 

if u buy a oil guage then u wont worry about ur pump so much

 

The whole OBDII oil pump thing is not that scary. Plus the fact they are a dime a dozen if it blows.

 

ok, so you guys saying i should go with y8 instead of b7? how about all the wires and sensors, what do i need?

ok, so i will need a p28 ecu and 2 vtec wires , with that set up, correct? now i have another q. will the mini-me be better (stronger) then the whole d16y8? and yes, i'm always searching, even when i ask q. i been on the forums for more then 3 month and all i do is search and read , thats why i only have 9 posts
