So long as you have the OBD-I o2 sensor, and dizzy. That is all you need to have for the most part. All the other parts plug up fine.

The dizzy is identical with OBD1 and 2. The only difference on the dizzy is the plug. Which in OBD2 it just incorporated the two wire plug and the other plug together to form one plug. They have the same wires. Just make an OBD1 to OBD2 dizzy adapter. I did when I put a D15B VTEC in replace of my D16Y8. Just get the right plugs and hack and solder away.

For the O2 sensor you need a four wire one that might have came with your D16Y8. Then just wire up the additional three O2 wires. Also it would be a good idea to use an OBD1 vtec ecu like a stock P28. If you use the OBD2 ecu you will have a mess of wires to add, like knock sensor, crankshaft fluctuation sensor, and secondary O2 sensor.

Although from your post you say you are hitting vtec so might have a vtec ecu already with vtec and vtec pressure sensor already wired up.
