Default d16y8 in 95 ex

Hey guys,
Forgive my newbness but I need some help, mainly with the wiring (if there is any). I'm gonna be putting a y8 into my 95 ex. How is the wiring? Everything should just plug right in correct? And the ecu? Will I be able to continue using the p28? Thanks alot!

Adapt your obd1 harness from your EX onto the motor. The obd2 harness w/the y8 will do you no good in your car.

Not sure on the ECU, I think you can use yours.

Will I be able to use a z6 distributor or do I have to use the y8? I'm kinda lost on what is different with putting a obd2 motor into a obd1 car...

I'm trying to remember off the top of my head...but...i think you can use a 92-95 dx dist. on the y8. Or you can make an adaptor from the obdII to obdI...which is straight across. Its pretty easy...both plug wires are just on 1 plug for the obd2. Everything runs a bit diff on the y8 but you'll get away with a p28 ecu on it. Use the obd1 harness.....but you will have some sensors that arent going to have plugs too. Depending on what year the y8 ish..you'll have to extend some wires. Thats about it I think. Again...I haven't thought about this for many many years. But I'm sure this is correct. Oh yeah...mounts on the y8 are a bit different...but just look at them...you'll figure it out. GL to you.
