Is a D16Y7 vtec, cuz i just got one for free?

i was wondering if i could put this on my D16A6 block.

D16Y7 is a 96+ SOHC non-VTEC OBD2. You could put it on your A6 but i dont think there is much of a point. I think it MIGHT flow a little better.

sounds like a good motor to boost w/ 15psi and an fmu

me.. I'd build internals, swap on a y8 head, use the a6 dizzy and intake and ghettodyne. Get a MSD rpm switch (for vtec) and boost that sucker!

that would cost what, $1500 US ?
