Default d16y7 head on b7

alright, gonna throw a d16y7 head that i just rebuilt sitting in the basement

i'm gonna throw it on my b7 motor, what timing belt and what cam gear do i use?

but yes. you will need the d16y7 timing belt and cam gear of course. the only difference will be is you firing order will be off by one spark plug each. i found out the hard way when my hatch ran like a subie. if you dont do it youll see what i mean. just make sure you set them both at tdc and then go from there. if not ylu will have problems like none other. also you may need to shave the motor mount slightly or else the timing belt my slap it quite a bit during warm up periods. it barely touches it but it would be good insurance to make sure you dont ---- up the timing belt. lmk if you have any other problems.

did you use your d15 dizzy? did it bolt right up and everything? and what do you mean about teh firing order, like shift all teh plugs one position over on the cap? if so, which direction?

yes i did use the d15 dizzy with no issues, and to the shifting of the plugs, you will rotate them one plug in the rotation of the motor. the easiest way for you to do this is the put the dizzy on without the cap first and look at where the distributors position is. should be in the lower left hand corner if looking at it from the passenger side of the car.
