Default d16y7/d16a6 combo

hey i was wondering what type of timing belt do i need to get if have a d16y7 block on a a6 head?

I believe you go with the correct timing belt for the head, but since you're sticking with the d16's, you should be able to get away with either.

why are you putting an a6 head on a y7 block? It'll be low compression if stock pistons, like sub-9:1. I'm pretty sure you use the a6 belt to do this, but why?

well. the bigger valves in the Y7 head are nice, then make a perfect HMT turbo motor.

Bone,

from the way I read his question, he was going to use the a6 head on a y7 block... which is low comp small valve...
If he wants to put the y7 head on his a6 block- more power to him --> high comp with big valve = good.
