Can i drop a D16A3 out of a 88 Integra into my 1988 STD civic Hatch?what needs to be done for this to work?and has anyone ever done it before??Thanks

 

88 tegs have d16a3s wow well if thats what they have then no it wont work the 88 and 89 teg have diferent motor mounts and the hp is shitty so no i would recomend against it

 

Its in between a 87 an 89 integra not sure what year exactly but y wouldnt it fit its basically a ZC it has 118Hp thats better then the d16a6 and its only 7 away from the Z6 and if its boosted whats it matter??lolall i wanna know is if i can mae it fit if i switch the mounts or what??

 

go get an intake and exhaust, you'll get that 10hp for alot cheaper! LOL

for 10hp you will be spending like 1g.. dont bother with that motor.

 

nah cause thats what i was gonna swap i read it had 108 hp. and like the mounts were funky as hell and wasnt even worth it

 

no i have a STD civic hatch with a whopping 70Hp and DPFI this D16a3 im getting the whole car for $200 runs great but was hit in rear and if it will fit im gonna do it then turbo it instead,unless theres someone in FL who has a honda motor for sale!

 

either way.. the 86-89 teg mounts are all different. they only bolt into 85-87 civic/crx's. Swap in a ZC or d16a6 and you'll be just as happy if not more because you wallet wont be so empty.
