Default d16 tranny in trouble

What's up i got a d16 tranny and put it up a few weeks ago, but damage the threads on the tranny for the upper tranny mounts. My question is what can i do besides changing trannys? Is it possible to get it rethreaded?

ya.. might have to go to a larger diameter bolt, depending on how bad u messed them up.

Ahh, this brings a flashback to along time ago when I did my first l3 tranny swap. Basically all 3 of the bolt holes were stripped out on the back. I tried tapping them, but pretty much all the threads were gone. This is what we did to fix it. (flat rate style) Hopefully you have air tools etc etc. Using a 1/2 impact gun and a long extension. Find a little bit larger size bolt, like a standard thread size and just run that bitch in there. We call this "power tapping"

Good luck.

Jeff
