d16 timing question
 

I'm putting a timing belt on the engine that I'm building right now. My manual says to make sure that the marks on the camshaft are aligned with the top of the head. There are also marks on the plastic piece that bolts to the block. Which one of these indexes do i use? It's a y8 by the way.

9 and 3 marks on the gear level with the head for all 96-00 D16's
