d16 piston strength
Im guessing stock cast pistons (with eagles) can take a max of 300hp with a great tune.
Am i crazy? I could of swore I've seen this done before :-\ |
Re: d16 piston strength
That seems like a scary assumtion to me. That is like 3 times the power the motor puts out stock. If it was my motor I wouldn't trust the stock pistons over about 220 whp. Although Pat (BBKA) is putting down 230 whp with his z6. Any more than that is really pushing it. Just my .02. 8)

Re: d16 piston strength
There are plenty of people who've gone to 300 hp with stock pistons, the rods are normally what create the karnage not the pistons.

Re: d16 piston strength
i dont think there have been many people to hit 300 hp on stock d-series pistons since most people get new pistons when they do rods

Re: d16 piston strength
is it possible to use stock pistons on eagles because eagles dont use press fit wrist pins.

Re: d16 piston strength
