d15z1 /d16y1 Build up Help Needed!
 

Okay Well ive got a eg civic vx ,At the moment it has the stock d15z1 motor in it.I Found at a junkyard a burnt out eg hatch with a d16y1 and mananged to scab the cam and rocker etc.The intake had allready been taken so im using my stock one at the moment.I put it all together car runs idles hit's vtec nicely.but limiter is at 6200rpm.Now what ecu should i use to fix this problem* and should i be making any more power than before?Cause it feels the same only difference is seems to pull a bit harder at bout 5800,It feels like it needs the extra 1000rpm or so.

*Note car throws cel = tps
heated oxygen sensor (From F/I :)

so would like to run a one wire o2 insead ,Its in limp mode but i dont think it should make that much difference to power?

ok.. you have the vtec-e engine and ecu, and installed a d16y1 head? or just the cam ?

sounds like you need the ecu in which the new cam came from.. USDM d16z6? (p72).

also, these cars use a heated o2 (4 wire) and i bet your car doesnt have that. or something.. TPS.. sure it's hooked up ok?

Im so confused, if you kept the stock ecu, stock head, IM stock everything and just switched the cams how the heck are u getting all these codes?? Tell us exactly what u did.

Okay well before the swap it already had the cel but i want to no which ecu to use so i can run a normal o2 sensor not a wideband which come on the vx. and as for the tps ,does that effect performance much?
