D15BZ LSD Tranny, What Interm. Shaft?
I got ahold of an LSD transmission that was mated with a JDM D15B7 (according to the shop thats selling it). Onyx told me that I should get an intermediate shaft to prevent breaking of the axels but neither of us were sure what intermediate shaft type to get.
Does anyone know? Jeff? :) |

WRONG!!! That D15 tranny/engine (Civic VTi I believe) used regular sohc axles (one long, one short). The only d-series half shafts are the zc, and the d16a1, neither of which will fit into that tranny.

From what I remember is that it uses b-series axles and intermediate shaft.

Re:D15BZ LSD Tranny, What Interm. Shaft?
b series axles will not fit into a D-series transmission.
But I just needed confirmation that it was off of a civic wagon I need it. |
Re:D15BZ LSD Tranny, What Interm. Shaft?
how ever I am finding NO intermediate shafts for D-series from any used parts dealers. And the Honda dealership claims that the civic AWD uses only a long and short shaft as well.

found it, there is an intermediate shaft for the 92 Civic Si hatch! with a d16z6.

Re:D15BZ LSD Tranny, What Interm. Shaft?
If it's the LSD d15bvtec tranny then the b series axles should fit. The d15b lsd tanny's diff is a different size than the usual d series diffs and accepts the larger axles.

Re:D15BZ LSD Tranny, What Interm. Shaft?
Yes its a D15B7 transmission from Japan with the factory LSD option. So it does take B-series axles? Can you verify this anywhere? I mean I don't have any b-series axles laying around to poke into it when I get it. But if its true it will be alot easier to find stronger axles for it :)
