rule of thumb is to run the same ecu as the head as long as it is obd0, odb1, or obd2, etc.. the pm6 is the ecu is for the z6 head.? if you already got it, hook it up, ocasionally you'll have some cel codes or something. i actually found that an 88 si ecu would cause my 91 to rev up too high.

You will still need something to activate VTEC. Otherwise I don't see a problem., as long as your car is OBD0.

is your car obd0?? or obd1?

you could use a activation switch but im against that..... sure it will make vtec hit, but if your not running a vtec ecu you wont be running the same ignition and fuel maps as the vtec ecu, which will result in vtec being kinda ghey.... plus wiring switches and stuff is just more problems ....

the p28 ecu is the one that goes with the z6 head ... if your car is obd1, just slap her in and wire in vtec ....

if obdo youll been an obd0 to obd1 conversion harness....

it will be more expensive to run the p28, cause youll have to buy it, and then if your obd0 youll have to buy the harnes... but it is the right way to do it .... no ------- around with switches and ---- .... but its up to you ...

ya its obd0 but the way i'm thankin is i'll run it with a rpm switch chip the ecu and emulate the fuel and timeing maps from vtec activation to redline to match the p28 maps
just what i'm thanking about doing
