Default d15b/y8

Not really a post of anything special, i just finished a engine install for a friend, he picked up a d15b from a jap engine retailer. he owns a '97 si coupe with a stock y8, this happens to be the 4th engine in 2.5 years he's popped. Y8 oil pump and oil pan installed, along with y8 ckf sensor, had to install the lower plastic timing cover from the y8 as well. The dipstick situation was easily solved, just left the stock d15b dipstick tube installed, trimmed off the handle and dipstick itself. Installed Y8 crank pulley and Y8 crankshaft timing gear, interestingly enough, the d15b and d16y8 timing gears are timed the exact same, not the same for the cam gears tho, the gears are timed differently, as in almost a tooth. For the knock sensor, I used a cut off wheel for the dremel tool and cut off the knock sensor boss from the rear of the y8 block and jb welded it to the rear of the d15b block, allowed for like stock knock sensor installation. I had to use the power steering pump from the y8 as the bracket from the d15b won't accept the newer pumps, but with the bracket from the y8, only the two lower bolts line up, the top bolt does not, the pump bracket needs to have the hole machined in order to line up the top bolt. I was gonna take a picture of the p.o.s but didn't manage to do it, maybe this help for people that intend to do the same.
