d15b questions

hey i have a 95 civic ex d16z6 turbo and i was just wondering what the diffrences are in the d16z6 and the d15b besides the 1.6 and 1.5. i want to have a extra engine around just to be safe. i found the d15b vtec engines 130hp on hmotors for 450.00 with around 40,000 miles. will the 1.5 handle turbo ok? do they have any weeknesses? Also does any one know a web site to buy honda engines besides www.Hmotorsonline.com.

Re:d15b questions

The head is basically the same exact head you have on your Z6. The block is your basic 1.5 with the normal toothpick rods and smaller bearings. You already have a Z6 head, so you don't really need another one and the block is basically junk so it would be a waste of money IMO. Stick with either an A6, Y8, Y7, or Z6. Not to bad mouth the 1.5 liter guys, but they know their weakness. ;)

Re:d15b questions

d15b rods are weaker than 1.6 rods but compression is similar (9.2-9.6) I believe so turbo would be ok that is just my two cents its mainly the rods so im told
